Secure software development, automation, and system hardening explored through real-world projects and hands-on testing.
I’m Amen Desta, a secure software developer and tester focused on building maintainable applications and applying defensive practices across the development lifecycle. My work spans full-stack development, cloud deployment, and vulnerability testing with a strong emphasis on automation and secure architecture.
Through hands-on projects, I’ve worked with Python, Java, Bash, and Linux; implemented OWASP Top 10 mitigations; and used tools like Wireshark, Burp Suite, and OWASP ZAP to identify and remediate security flaws. I continue to sharpen my skills in CI/CD integration, containerization, and automated security testing.
Beyond technical work, I mentor peers, explore digital art, and reflect on the ethical dimensions of technology. I value clarity, responsibility, and solutions that scale securely, blending practical development with a security-first mindset.
